The Happy Time Murders
“The Happy Time Murders” is a film directed by Brian Henson, Jim Henson’s son, about a the investigation of the murder of 80′s television stars from the show The Happytime Gang, by disgraced puppet cop Phil Phillips (seen below). The above image is only conceptual artwork but with a quick once-over you can see the direction the film makers are headed, and it looks like hilarious fun straight out of my demented 10 year old mind.
If you have been a long time horror fan, as I have, and are on a constant search for that next film containing elements from your beloved genre from the likes of which you have never seen… Ok, you may be forced to keep searching, you know we’re talking about murderous puppets here right? Now in my mind ”The Happy Time Murders” would have a hard R rating (see: Team America) yet I doubt that’s the way any son of a Puppet Master would want to continue on with his father’s legacy but a little wishful thinking never hurt anyone.
